Terms and Conditions

Effective date: April 2026

These Terms and Conditions are originally written in Czech, which constitutes the sole legally binding version. This English version is a translation provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the Czech and English versions, the Czech version shall prevail.

1. About the Platform

MDR Academy is a knowledge platform providing informational and educational content related to EU MDR 2017/745 and the broader medical device regulatory landscape. The platform is operated by:

Bc. Karel Boháč Příkop 838/6, 602 00 Brno – Zábrdovice Czech Republic IČO: 17752515 📧 mrdacademy.eu@gmail.com

2. Nature of the Service

MDR Academy provides informational content only. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, or professional consultancy. Use of this platform does not guarantee any regulatory outcome, CE marking, or MDR certification result. For details, please refer to our Legal Disclaimer.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the platform, you must register for an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate registration information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account

You must notify us immediately at mrdacademy.eu@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Free and Paid Access

MDR Academy offers two tiers of access:

Free — access to public knowledge base content, available without registration.

Full Access — a one-time payment of 990 CZK, granting access to the full knowledge base, AI assistant, and document tools. Full Access is personal and non-transferable except as described in Section 5 below.

5. Project Sharing

Full Access users may create a Project — a personal workspace that collects form results, AI chat sessions, and collaborative notes. Projects are private by default.

A user may invite another registered Full Access user to access their Project. The sharing process works as follows:

  1. The user initiates sharing by entering the recipient's email address.
  2. The platform checks whether the recipient has a registered account. If not, the initiating user is informed that the recipient must register first.
  3. If the recipient is registered, they receive an email invitation to accept the shared access.
  4. The platform administrator is notified and must approve the linkage before access is granted.
  5. Once approved, both users are notified and the shared access is activated.
  6. Either user may revoke the shared access at any time.

Project sharing does not constitute transfer of Full Access and does not entitle the recipient to use the platform independently without their own Full Access account.

6. Payment and Refunds

Full Access is available for a one-time payment of 990 CZK. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. MDR Academy does not store payment card details.

In accordance with EU consumer rights, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the transaction date, provided you have not materially used the Full Access features. To request a refund, contact us at mrdacademy.eu@gmail.com within this period. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the approved withdrawal request.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems
  • Reproduce, resell, or redistribute platform content without prior written permission
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the platform

8. Intellectual Property

All content on MDR Academy — including articles, guides, knowledge base entries, and AI-generated content — is the property of MDR Academy or its contributors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may use the content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Czech and applicable EU law, MDR Academy and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of or reliance on the platform. This includes any regulatory submission, certification process, or business decision made on the basis of content found here.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
